November 26, 2004

Lots of things happening at Bantus, starting with some of our members, Quek will be in Sabah on assignment between today and the coming Wednesday. Meanwhile, Siriema and Tartaruga will be registering to be married tomorrow, 27th November, at the registrar in Petaling Jaya!

Moving on to upcoming events:

* Rafael will conduct a two day workshop for Philip Wain this weekend. He’ll be at The Weld on Saturday, 27th November from 3pm and at Damansara Heights on Sunday, 28th November from 2pm.
* Our students at [Alice Smith International School](http://www.alice-smith.edu.my/) will showcase capoeira at their primary school campus on Friday, 3rd December at 2pm. All senior students are invited to come lend their support to our juniors for this event.
* Bantus will perform a show for the opening of twelveSI on Friday night, 3rd December. Everyone is welcome to come play capoeira and have some fun.
* We’ve been invited to do a show for [World AIDS Day](http://www.wao.org.my/news/20011129worldaidsday.htm) on Saturday, 4th December at Sungei Wang Plaza and BB Plaza from 12pm to 2pm. Free refreshments and event t-shirts will be given to participants, so come lend your support for a good cause!
* We will also be at the KDU Open Day on the weekend of 10th, 11th and 12th of December. There’ll be a Bantus Capoeira booth, and we’ll conduct introduction classes, some workshops and have rodas. We’ll also have stuff for sale. Let Mexican or Quek know if you would like to help out or have something to contribute for this event.
* A two day capoeira workshop will be conducted in the Lion City (Singapore) over the weekend of 17th December. It will be a fun road trip, so everyone should try to come! More details will follow as we near the date of the workshop. Sorry guys and gals, this workshop has been [cancelled](/2004/12/09/singapore-workshop-cancelled).
* Acrobatic classes have started up again, every Sunday from 6:00pm onwards at BB’s Gym near Sunway College. Meet at the academia around 5pm if you need a ride or ask Coelho, Lesma or Mexican for directions.

Finally, a reminder to our students to please settle November fees before December fees are due (or better still, settle both now). We will also be collecting money for Abadas this week as we will be placing an order in December. Don’t forget to collect your receipts!
