A very big thank you to everyone who came to help clean up and paint the new academia over the last few days! The transformation has been nothing short of AMAZING. More photos here and here.

Hope all our students, seniors and beginners alike are just as excited as I am to train in the new place:

We’ve listened to your opinions and problems with the old place, how it’s getting too cramped and not well ventilated etc. Well, get this:

• We’ve tripled the training area.
• Installed 10 ceiling fans and 4 industrial strength exhaust fans.
• We have windows on all 3 sides of the room.
• A wall mirror installed on the remaining side.

Here’s giving it all back to the Bantus community for having given so generously to Bantus. Your dedication and encouragement to the capoeira movement is what made all this possible!

The plan now is to officially launch the new academia, with a grand opening roda this coming Monday, 20th June. Everyone is welcome, so spread the love! In addition, we’ll be having a special trial class for samba this Wednesday evening, 15th June at 9:15pm after the regular class in the old academia.
