One more piece of belated happy news—the results of the recent Bantus Capoeira Championship in Brasil! Looking at the competition we really were not expecting to come back with anything so we just tried to go out there and do what we went there to do in the first place: play capoeira, try not to get our heads taken off by a killer compasso, smile and have lots of fun. We played with our hearts, and came back with some really good results. No doubt a testament to our instructor’s drill sergeant-like ways.
So a big congratulations to our boys and girl!
Marissa for her 1st placing in the Women’s Coral competition, Quek (Cueca) and Woei Hern (Coelho) for their 2nd and 3rd placing in the Men’s Verde and Verde/Amarelo and Rafa for getting 1st place in Men’s Amarelo and Amarelo/Azul!
