Em comemoração ao “20 anos do GBC” convoco a todos para a confecção do desenho que estará nas camisas de todos os eventos do grupo no ano de 2011. Esse desenho será mostrado também em 100 abadás comemorativos que serão lançados junto com as camisas no Festival Bantus Brasil em agosto. O desenho vencedor, seu autor receberá uma camisa do evento do Brasil, um abadá comemorativo e um berimbau. Somente alunos do grupo, inscrito e que estejam participando das aulas e eventos poderão participar do concurso do desenho da camisa.
ATTENTION
In celebration of “20 years of Bantus”, I summon you all to create the drawing that will be on the t-shirts of all Bantus events in 2011. This drawing will also be displayed on 100 commemorative capoeira pants (abada) to be released with the t-shirts at the Festival Bantus Brasil in August. The winner will receive the event t-shirt, one pair of commemorative capoeira pants and one berimbau. Only group members, subscribed and participating in the classes and events will be able to participate in the t-shirt design contest.
So put on your thinking caps and get creative! Bantus Capoeira axé!

GBCM KLKP Welcome Festival 2011 & GBCM Calendar 2011
Grupo Bantus Capoeira Malaysia (GBCM) in support of Yayasan Chow Kit, has produced and is putting up for sale a Bantus 2011 calendar.
This calendar features capoeristas from our group, some of whom have been volunteering their time, skills and knowledge to teach Capoeira twice a week to the kids at Pusat Aktiviti Kanak-Kanak (PAKK) and KL Krash Pad (KLKP), managed by Yayasan Chow Kit
After more than a year of training, we felt that it was time for the kids to be inducted officially into the Bantus family. As such, we are organising a festival co-produced by GBCM, Yayasan Chow Kit, KL Krash Pad, PAKK and the Ministry of Women, Health and Community Development on 22 January 2011.
We have produced this calendar as part of our efforts of sustainable fund raising to cover the cost of uniforms, workshops and associated costs to produce this festival.

Bantus Turns 6 Years Old
This month Bantus Capoeira Malaysia turns 6 and to celebrate we’re giving you a gift! Come by to Bantus Capoeira Academy and receive ONE WEEK FREE CLASS and get a good insight to Capoeira.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art. It was brought over by the African slaves over 400 years ago and today is seen all over Brazil, as well as all over the world. Capoeira incorporates martial art moves, acrobatic moves and moves that you wouldn’t think possible. The thing that makes Capoeira so unique is the music. Without music there is no Capoeira.
By training Capoeira, you will gain strength, flexibility, stamina and quicker reflexes. As you progress you will learn acrobatic moves. You will also learn about the culture of Brazil, the language as you learn the songs and how to play instruments.
Offer is only valid between 24 April to 24 May. This is only for those who have never done a class at Bantus Capoeira. Additional terms and conditions apply.

Important Notes About the Batizado Ceremony
Please note that your registration for the festival does not automatically guarantee that you will receive your first or new belts during the ceremony. Our mestre and your instructor will be responsible to award eligible students with their new belts at their discretion.
You are required to own a pair of official Bantus Capoeira Abadas (Pants) to be eligible to for grading.
Payments
Payments can be submitted to our instructors, Mr. Rafael Rosario or Mr. Quek Wei Kin in the form of cash or check made payable to Bantus Capoeira Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Poster Design Competition
This year we are holding a competition to design the Festival 2009 poster.
The poster will need to include the following:
- Title of the event
- Date of the event
- Special guests names
- Short description about the event
The winner will receive free entry to Festival 2009. For more information speak to Marissa.
